Jacques Louis David  Most popular art is "The Death of Marat". It is a painting by David of a murdered French revolutionist leader Jean Paul Marat. Charlotte Corday from a minor family and a political enemy of Marat who blamed him for the September massacre. She went into Marats room while Marat was in the bathtub doing work. Charlotte stabbed Marat and he died. She did not flee and was executed.  Movement: Jacques used neoclassicism for his art work. Neoclassicism is the name given to western movements in the decorative and visual arts, literature, theatre, music and architecture that draw inspiration from the "classical" art and culture of Ancient Greece or Ancient Rome.  Jacques second most popular art is called "Oath of the Horati" (1784). I have had a lot of time to work on my struggle project. It has been a struggle for me to do this because what I wanted to do is something that I know I didn't have enough time! I planned on sculpting some ribs and adding the extra 2 that I have, but I wasn't able to! I then decided to do a painting of ribs! I had a few different ideas of how to paint the ribs! I tried a few different things and everything I tried did not turn out the way I wanted them too! Since we have a new assignment I decide I would do my best even better because I did not finish it the way I would have liked too! I tried my best and I hope with what I have done! 

I had way to much trouble on our first assignment in art! It was about struggle. When I thought of struggle, my physical rib pain was my first thought! I decided to do something that involved ribs! I had an idea to sculpt ribs but then I give it a lot I thought and I knew that I wouldn't be able to do that! My second choice was to do a drawing of ribs and paint it but have the paint drip down the picture like it was sad! I tried doing that and it did not work the way I wanted to I decided to just paint it! I am gonna hand in hat I've got because I have spent most of my time doing different ideas an none of them turned out the way I wanted!
